Fashionpedia - The Visual Dictionary Of Fashion Sign Books Zip Ebook Download .mobi Full Edition

The Fashionpedia project is an ongoing research activity, which aims to explore the connections between language and the fashion world. More specifically, it’s a visual dictionary of fashion design books pdf file. It is created by me, Alexandros Voulgaris - student of architecture at the Kuşadası Technological Institute in Turkey. Whenever I had free time or when I was on vacation, I searched for information about specific topics in print media- that are related to my study field of architecture - but had little material on them online. The fashionpedia is the result of my interest. The fashionpedia project as a starting point, as well as a way to organize and present information, can be characterized as follows:The dictionary has been written by me and the texts have been extracted from various literature sources. It is illustrated with photography by myself or provided by the publishers of the books I have read. The acronym "FADI" stands for Fashion And Design Information. The FADI symbol is a pyramid. The pyramid represents fashion design principles from basic to complex concepts, from historical to contemporary issues and from general to specific topics. At the top of this pyramid there are different values attached to human needs such as protection, comfort, aesthetics etc.. Each of these values is represented by a color. The various colors that were chosen, correspond to the different fields and branches of knowledge and creativity which are concerned with fashion and design. Each sphere corresponds to a field of knowledge and creativity. The sphere gets bigger and bigger as we move from general to specific concerns (e.g: the right side sphere- which represents human needs- is bigger than the left side one, which represents fashion design). And as we move from bottom to top different spheres overlap. This reflects the interdisciplinary character of fashion design as well as its references to social, cultural and historical issues. The FADI pyramid is shaped in the form of an equilateral triangle, which represents equality in all aspects. The circle in the middle of it is formed by all the letters of the alphabet, which are connected to each other. There are twenty six letters of the alphabet, because twenty six is considered as a perfect number. Any number greater than twenty-six would not be considered as perfect, for this reason we have twenty six letters of the alphabet and no more or less. Twenty six is also a multiple of two and three (2*3=6, 2+3=5), and thus it symbolizes both equality and unity. The pyramid and its base grow from left to right and bottom to top. In other words, from general to specific and from bottom to top. The black triangles which you see in the fashionpedia symbolize fashion design and creativity. They also represent tools and techniques of fashion design and creativity, which lead to design and creation. As we move from left to right and bottom to top we move from general concepts, such as social or cultural issues, past the fashion industry (the fashion world), different fashion design platforms (e.g: fashion collections) towards our final goal- the actual product- fashion design itself. cfa1e77820
